For the realization of multimedia communications or time critical communications over shared-media LANs, not only high transmission rate but also data transmission within a specified time is required. In this paper, in order to realize a real time data transmission, we propose a new data transfer protocol that is modified from TTP and guarantees the QoS of synchronous data of FDDI even when the excess synchronous data occur instantaneously. Further, we evaluate its effectiveness by simulations and make clear the communication services to be applied.
