秋の夜に聴きたい曲をテーマに、イタリア近代の作曲家レスピーギ、ドイツ後期ロマン派のR.シュトラウスや林光の優れた歌曲にオペラアリアを加えて構成したプログラムである。このプログラムの底辺には“死”がテーマとして在るが、それは決して哀惜するものではなく、受け入れるべきもの、安らぎを感じるものと捉えている。
