In this letter, two OTAs with MOSFETs operating in the weak inversion region are proposed. One of the OTAs uses the exponential-logarithm transformation algorithm. Furthermore, the other realizes the high-linearity characteristics due to a small fluctuation of the common-terminal voltage of differential pair. The performance of the proposed OTAs was confirmed by HSPICE simulation.

In this dissertation, I designed the 2nd-order delta-sigma modulator for the A/D converter used in the s-EMG signal-processing LSI, and evaluate the characteristics of it. Through this evaluation, I found that amplifiers used in the integrators deteriorate the floor noise. As the result, the resolution of the delta-sigma modulator deteriorates. In order to improve the amplifier, three kinds of amplifiers with a di??erent circuit compositions are designed. All of the circuits were evaluated through HSPICE simulation with ROHM 0.18 ??m CMOS device parameters. From the simulation results, I found that SQNR was improved about 20dB. Finally, SQNR of the ΔΣ modulator using class AB amplifiers was about 90dB and the value resulted in ENOB of 14bit.

This dissertation describes an efficient phase compensation and slew rate enhancement techniques in an LCD driver IC. First, I compare five kinds of phase compensation techniques that including the new methods by both theoretical analyses of poles and zeros frequency from transfer function. In the past, the slew rate enhancement technique by using MOS switches was proposed. However the effect is not enough to satisfy the specification because the effect depends on switching sensitivity of MOS switches that is determined by the threshold voltages of MOSFETs. In order to improve this problem, I propose the MOS switches with level shifter. I propose a new low-power-consumption LCD driver with these methods.HSPICE simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed circuit.

The term biologlcal motion is often used by researchers studying the patterns of movement generated by living forms and sport forms. We study the pattern recognition system of sport motion uslng biologlcal motion data. Biologlcal motion data are acquired using 3D motion capture system. However, 3D motion capture system is too expensive. In this paper, 3D motion capture system was built using wii(R) remote controller of Nintendo. We tested our proposed system in the pattern recognition of the tennis player using Wii(R) remote controller of Nintendo.

In this paper, an improved guided genetic algorithm is proposed forJob-shop schueduling problem. The proposed method is improved by genetic algorithm using multipliers which can be adjusted during the search process. The simulation results based on some benchmark problems that proves the proposed method can find better solutions than genetic algorithm and original guided genetic algorithm.

In this paper, we propose a midpoint-validation method which improves the generalization of Support Vector Machine. The proposed method creates midpoint data, as well as a turning adjustment parameter of Support Vector Machine using midpoint data and previous training data. We compare its performance with the original Support Vector Machine, Multilayer Perceptron, Radial Basis Function Neural Network and also tested our proposed method on several benchmark problems. The results obtained from the simulation shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
