The effects of three nucleon force (3NF) have been actively studied via the nucleon-deuteron (Nd) scattering states. The differential cross sections and the vector analyzing powers A y of the 2 H(p, n) inclusive breakup reaction at 170 MeV were measured for the study of 3NF effects in the intermediate energy region. The polarized proton beam of 170 MeV was injected to the deuterated polyethylene (CD 2 ) target and the energy of scattered neutrons were measured by using TOF method. The data were compared with the Faddeev calculations based on modern nucleon-nucleon (NN) forces with and without the 3NF. Concerning the differential cross sections, we can see large discrepancies between the data and the calculations in the region of scattered neutron energies are low, which is similar to the results of the 2 H(p, p) inclusive breakup reaction at 250 MeV. © 2014 Springer-Verlag Wien.

The level structure of neutron-deficient 58 Zn has been extracted experimentally. This nucleus is important for the rapid proton-capture process. 58 Zn was produced by using a (d,n)-type transfer reaction on 57 Cu in inverse kinematics at beam energies of 75 MeV/u. Several γ-ray transitions have been identified. The experiment utilized the state-of-the-art GRETINA γ-ray energy tracking array in conjunction with the largeacceptance spectrometer S800 at NSCL. The excitation energies of the identified low-lying states in 58 Zn are important for constraining the 57 Cu(p,γ) 58 Zn reaction rate under X-ray burst conditions. © Owned by the authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2014.

The wide experimental program of the DSS project devoted to the investigation of the spin structure of light nuclei using internal and extracted deuteron beam at Nuclotron(JINR, Dubna) is discussed. Recent data on the deuteron analyzing powers in d pelastic scattering obtained at Nuclotron demonstrate strong deviation from the relativistic multiple scattering model predictions at large scattering angle in the cms. The scheme of the deuteron beam polarimetry at Nuclotron at intermediate and low energies is discussed.

The review of the recent results on spin effects in few nucleon systems obtained at LHEP-JINR are presented. The data on the deuteron analyzing powers in different reactions in the wide energy range demonstrate the sensitivity to the spin structure of the light nuclei. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. Excited states in 12 C nuclei play a very important role in the nucleosynthesis in the universe. 12 C nuclei are synthesized by the triple α reaction. Normally this process proceeds via the 0 + 2 state (Hoyle state) at Ex 7.65 MeV in 12 C, however, at high temperature T > 10 9 the highly excited 3α resonant states such as the 3 - 1 state at Ex 9.64 MeV and the 2 + 2 state at Ex 9.84 MeV play a part of the triple α reaction. Unfortunately, the γ-decay probability of the 3p state has not been determined, therefore we planned to determine the 7- decay probability using the inverse kinematic reaction 1 H( 12 C, 12 Cp) without measuring γ-rays. The test experiment was carried out at the cyclotron facility in RCNP. The results of the test experiment are reported in the present paper.
